Asbestos and Hazardous Materials Surveys
EAE has three licensed asbestos inspectors and multiple personnel experienced in hazardous materials surveys. Two of our inspectors have provided Resident Project Representative services at a former pre-Subtitle D landfill to evaluate identification of asbestos and potentially hazardous materials during excavation, in accordance with State of Missouri requirements.
Rob Bens, one of our principals with more than 32 years of asbestos experience, manages our asbestos survey practice. Mr. Bens has performed numerous asbestos surveys/sampling and has written Asbestos Operations & Maintenance Plans for a variety of public and private clients. Large asbestos survey and sampling projects managed by Mr. Bens include a statewide, cost recovery litigation asbestos survey that assessed 225 buildings encompassing a total of 15 million square feet in the State of Maryland. He has conducted similar surveys for the State of Vermont, McCord Air Force Base, Bank Midwest, Archdiocese of Detroit, the State of Pennsylvania, State of West Virginia, University of Indiana and several banks. These projects included identification of suspect asbestos-containing materials, sampling and sample management, condition assessment, quantifying materials, and recommending future management of identified asbestos-containing materials.
