Weatherby Lake #2 and Upper Rush Pump Stations

CITY OF KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI
EAE designed of two new pump station buildings for the Weatherby Lake #2 and Upper Rush Pump Station replacement project. We provided assistance with the generation of the engineering report submitted to the City, full architectural services, and prepared materials and participated in presentations to the City and community. Key elements:

  • Buildings designed to merge into the fabric of the surrounding environment by relating to design elements of existing buildings, while also being sensitive to the individual site features.
  • Sustainability considerations and elements for buildings to last at least 40 years with very little maintenance.
  • Coordination with landscape architects and engineers to meet two-year construction deadline.

"EAE's design staff members integrated well with our project design team, provided practical, yet innovative solutions, communicated well, and were easy to work with over the duration of the project. Their contributions and insights related to building siting, orientation and design details were key factors in our project success."
